Heartfelt Creations Tattered Florals
In between everything else that's been going on lately, I made this birthday card from some of the Heartfelt Creations dies and stamps. I absolutely love this card. I could hardly bear to part with it so I'll have to make another one! I couldn't blog it before because it uses one of Lin Brown's new quote stamps.

Paper Artsy Guest Designer Week 2, part 2
Tonight over on the PaperArtsy blog you can see the tags that I made to go inside the book cover that I showed last night.
Lots of different things to try.
And a lovely book of tags and techniques at the end of it.

Glitter and Glue
Last time I played with my Flitter Glu (Indigoblu) and gilding flakes, I just couldn't get it right but this time the results are better and I'm pleased with the finished images. This image is called Ella Bella. The flower is made with one of my spray ink backgrounds, using the TH Tattered Florals and Pine Cone die.
(This was made using wax paper in the centre of the flower). The ripped note book edges are a Spellbinders die and the film strip is TH.
Much as I love these dimensional cards, they are such a pain to post. You really need a box and it does increase the postage cost by quite a lot. I'm curious if anyone has a solution to this - other than not sending dimensional cards! lol
I managed a photo in the garden - its so nice to have some blue sky and the temperature a few degrees higher!

A wedding
A good friend of mine at work is getting married in a couple of weeks and as part of a close-knit team, we're all going to the wedding. As she likes my lacy, flowery creations, I've put together this wedding card (using a Stampsmith Stamp) for all of us to sign.
Here's a close up of the detail
As a memento of the day, I've also made a little lacy heart and the hanging has got their names on one side and the date of the wedding on the other.
... and I was very lucky to find the perfect matching box!
PS - for those of you who are aware of the different spellings for boys and girls' names, her name is spelt the male way(!)

Sunday Stamper - Lace
Thanks to Joanne who spotted that this week's Sunday Stamper theme is Lace (aka Agadoo!) which fitted in well with the tag that I was making for our forum swap for Deb.
The lace flower is the same as the lace at the end of the tag but the top edge has a running thread through it which I gathered and tied off tightly (for those who don't do stitching!) The background is one of my spray ink ones and I've used a mixture of Paperartsy and Artistic Outpost stamps with some UTEE and a rubon.

Lace and insults....
I made this birthday card for Cath. I hope she's still talking to me! LOL I didn't realise when I took the photo (when the sun was still low in the sky) that the word "bird" was not visible under the bow so it actually says "Happy birthday you old bird!"
You can see in the close up below that I have attached an earring with a little dragonfly charm. Stamps are by Stampotique.

Serena
There are two images of Serena produced by the Stampsmith and this is no 2. No 1 is just as gorgeous but portrayed from a sightly different angle. I am always slightly amazed at the quality and detail of these pictures when you lift the stamp off the ink. LOL - I've just had to replace my archival ink pads which are pretty ancient and just that bit too dry to produce a good image.

A little lace...
I recently acquired this lace from Ebay and liked it so much I bought it in white and black as well. I'm sure you'll see it appearing over the months LOL
The stamps are all from Home Impressions

More Stampotique mixed with my usual girly flowers and lace embellishments! This was for my mate Pen's birthday. She's only a week younger me so I guess I'm allowed to get away with the sentiment LOL.

Playdate Cafe Challenge 2
I knew I had these lovely colours in my card stash when I saw the second Playdate Cafe challenge posted. The box template can be found in November's Craftstamper in a lovely article by Kate Crane. I also liked the lace that I used for my previous project so much that I had to use it again! It was raining when I took the pictures - hence the droplets and slight dampness on the second photo!

Lace and Theme Thursday and Something Completely Different!

I came across this challenge on Dezinaworld in my blog wandering and had to get out the lace box and have a go. I think the colours suit the time of year LOL
Here's a close up of the butterflies as the sparkle is not very obvious in the first pic.

Edit: I've also discovered that "Faces" is the challenge on Theme Thursday and Something Completely Different this week and as I think her face is just beautiful have entered for that too.

.. another two challenges
This week's "Tag it on" challenge is as follows: "please make a tag of any shape or size, with lots of text of your choice, but in basic purple colour tones. Your work should include at least one REAL stamp." The background is created with glimmer mist and a glimmer screen and over stamped with a text stamp. I also added some newspaper text and sprayed that too.
Edit: Also entered for Crazy Amigos this week which is "rub-ons" as I love the rub on quote used here. Pity it's not available as a rubber stamp!

Scrapbook Page
I'm completely hooked on this little face stamp from the new PBS plate. This is probably only the second ever scrapbook page I've done. It's 8 x 8. I love this style of distressing and tearing the edges.
