Here's a couple of thing recently done. <br />
<br />
I've always been a HUGE fan of Kaffe Fassett ever since he appeared in my life with knitting back in the 80s. I've just finished this quilt top from one of his books called Bordered Diamonds (still have batting, backing and borders to add). It was the whole reason I started quilting in the first place. I knew I just had to make it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMFs_79RIIOCm-lF-oc366_TPDcUffEz12kPrZsTkLpTyaKc2gPQ4h2rjKWrNT5tjM4vJwxDcKdmpXiu1IyiufOwRDOGE7SbBVSQok6RDbt3WfJK8VTfFx0cfYQHlAPx3uPoQbGU9tb2g/s1600/finishedblog2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMFs_79RIIOCm-lF-oc366_TPDcUffEz12kPrZsTkLpTyaKc2gPQ4h2rjKWrNT5tjM4vJwxDcKdmpXiu1IyiufOwRDOGE7SbBVSQok6RDbt3WfJK8VTfFx0cfYQHlAPx3uPoQbGU9tb2g/s640/finishedblog2.jpg" width="467" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This is a wall hanging by JoAnn Hoffman called The Modern Dragonfly. Again, all Kaffe Fassett fabrics and about 1.2 m/4ft height and width. I've changed the dragonfly layout slightly and added a border. I just have to find a wall to hang it on! If you like the pattern you can buy it <a href="http://www.craftsy.com/user/220292/pattern-store">here</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I have finally finished my first quilt. It probably wasn't the easiest project to choose as a starter but it was a fabulous learning curve and even though there are some cock ups in it, you can't seem them unless you look closely because it is so busy. It's made up of many different blocks, some of which you can see in <a href="http://alcoholinky.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/happy-new-year.html">this post</a>, which are joined together by strips </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmNl2EF-Pqxoelmv4dDVIXE77JR4Hpss3yeyXxAxM986cpB3PECdZGUuLDF_Ijhbw7bHFoVfXBOppSsCwnFMMjnrS65OHlltlQUkyvZoOyGe5WsL1XNUHCdGMeefITpEkuW5tGyhBZAag/s1600/strips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmNl2EF-Pqxoelmv4dDVIXE77JR4Hpss3yeyXxAxM986cpB3PECdZGUuLDF_Ijhbw7bHFoVfXBOppSsCwnFMMjnrS65OHlltlQUkyvZoOyGe5WsL1XNUHCdGMeefITpEkuW5tGyhBZAag/s320/strips.jpg" width="256" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I had so many strips left that I also decided to make the border although not many of the versions I've seen on the internet seem to have this. I also joined all my left over strips for the binding. It was almost impossible to choose a colour for the binding and I think the multicoloured strips worked really well</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1x0-mYn__q6sn3j108_0BFzoLP6jcwEz2qA4pPO8b3upcav-c6T8AfxSyE_lhEwHUTud9lGl61KUky_gGxg7bUaMfzU0ob_ARV5VD-D-1dhWzuNYCxO2z3Ffl7CNGutWndgzzFRkPyzs/s1600/borders.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="243" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1x0-mYn__q6sn3j108_0BFzoLP6jcwEz2qA4pPO8b3upcav-c6T8AfxSyE_lhEwHUTud9lGl61KUky_gGxg7bUaMfzU0ob_ARV5VD-D-1dhWzuNYCxO2z3Ffl7CNGutWndgzzFRkPyzs/s320/borders.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And here's the finished quilt....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKLJlPCTCsvob600ZmpWLfJDz4gU8ZiaAtXpKNVX1fI8b7Zfg7nQKvQ-r4dR7ym1Lu0iRBNU-J_ZQd7TC_V_nUK1EYz0tHNXs7kgbrS8-DmkL5MVrvOqbp-BqZxMjJe5aaMbkPDa8HPkw/s1600/finished.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKLJlPCTCsvob600ZmpWLfJDz4gU8ZiaAtXpKNVX1fI8b7Zfg7nQKvQ-r4dR7ym1Lu0iRBNU-J_ZQd7TC_V_nUK1EYz0tHNXs7kgbrS8-DmkL5MVrvOqbp-BqZxMjJe5aaMbkPDa8HPkw/s400/finished.jpg" width="326" /></a></div>
<br />
There's a very popular basket pattern going round the quilting internet at the moment called the one hour basket. It's available to download as a pdf file if you google it. Admittedly it took me longer than an hour (!) but it's probably my most neat an accurate piece of stitching yet.<br />
<br />
I decided to straight line quilt the fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnAZyf7MNYsTfQGCynJEeRhotl4Mx78wdVY0QhO79eC8H0yoVXw0dqlJbIuCKNNFqXhnqF6mnGs5BfCchY8sDGIatyIrVUS-ufPlJhJaP9UdQL2dWzNP-3Zq-3WqApyduHE6LscLO_F1g/s1600/straight+line+quilting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnAZyf7MNYsTfQGCynJEeRhotl4Mx78wdVY0QhO79eC8H0yoVXw0dqlJbIuCKNNFqXhnqF6mnGs5BfCchY8sDGIatyIrVUS-ufPlJhJaP9UdQL2dWzNP-3Zq-3WqApyduHE6LscLO_F1g/s400/straight+line+quilting.jpg" width="350" /></a></div>
<br />
and added a border to the top<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv7ys_6IId6yxQc4qnJ3fThmsQnYq8AL_Dl9M0astBIjDGWZgixfeD8pKOPtzkd01jBgo0LuqRRsGujpSWZxgQoicu3gIV6eK-auUXjVpYwSP3H2NtVMMtTuACvHDOGuEVYi5rBhLZ7dc/s1600/inside02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv7ys_6IId6yxQc4qnJ3fThmsQnYq8AL_Dl9M0astBIjDGWZgixfeD8pKOPtzkd01jBgo0LuqRRsGujpSWZxgQoicu3gIV6eK-auUXjVpYwSP3H2NtVMMtTuACvHDOGuEVYi5rBhLZ7dc/s400/inside02.jpg" width="391" /></a></div>
<br />
and a matching lining...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjygklL3hfV1Gow5rnDyIr2Q3j-nQwFWfuFRhzkB0DghED2vE_FrImWp_I0PieKOnC2t-YM4mrvdcqfkOWqUuNtXXlWCQ1HtzqJARZ_uCl31kU9b342CLmEKFh0BSLGt5RNRCkj5MVYtg/s1600/inside03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjygklL3hfV1Gow5rnDyIr2Q3j-nQwFWfuFRhzkB0DghED2vE_FrImWp_I0PieKOnC2t-YM4mrvdcqfkOWqUuNtXXlWCQ1HtzqJARZ_uCl31kU9b342CLmEKFh0BSLGt5RNRCkj5MVYtg/s400/inside03.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm already planning another - it's a perfect size for nappies and would make a lovely gift for a new mum.Carol Qhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02764184430436142517noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3526161032309831033.post-72965387996736027322015-03-29T19:11:00.000+01:002015-03-29T19:11:33.852+01:00What I've been up to....It really has been a while this time and I did wonder whether I should even bother to carry on posting. Like a lot of folks whose blogs I've read recently, they are using other forums such as twitter and facebook these days. <br />
<br />
I'm still doing lots of sewing. One of the latest things I tried was paper piecing using a template from the latest Love Patchwork and Quilting. In a nutshell you start with a paper template which has numbered sections. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrYM6BFJ7kUDYjhrxOpvnBcWcDSD2plZ6u3fXjKZtFV6reSvxKCFoOzCEnTBvodroER0I0BOC3EnvXexWljDJeJYmsbi0PcnQZ6QM077OHYQbdueZENVNY3dSNk1CmJjpcHEPAA05MnDk/s1600/IMG_1055.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrYM6BFJ7kUDYjhrxOpvnBcWcDSD2plZ6u3fXjKZtFV6reSvxKCFoOzCEnTBvodroER0I0BOC3EnvXexWljDJeJYmsbi0PcnQZ6QM077OHYQbdueZENVNY3dSNk1CmJjpcHEPAA05MnDk/s1600/IMG_1055.JPG" height="400" width="298" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Starting at number 1 section you add your fabric piece by piece<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYYPocMDTjg3M9xr-OXWWlqTdI-h1BT3HAq5paJYwHFRdwT3g0PgvpNNeQ1htEkvWSwZums_VJp4l8I-DzH6AyhkaUPgKxfveRMhqjQO4Zz1Xt4jjiPga5q6dTenpF3dJd_lyuM3YTd60/s1600/IMG_1054.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYYPocMDTjg3M9xr-OXWWlqTdI-h1BT3HAq5paJYwHFRdwT3g0PgvpNNeQ1htEkvWSwZums_VJp4l8I-DzH6AyhkaUPgKxfveRMhqjQO4Zz1Xt4jjiPga5q6dTenpF3dJd_lyuM3YTd60/s1600/IMG_1054.JPG" height="640" width="478" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
but you actually do the stitching on the template pattern side<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8ENlRBvdGSeeSIGybetRfBzYi0fpCzkiDKrmUcA_jfgPnXNIthmHpUOETcFZgYxfoX_wryQJh0k_JXkkfrcFqUroTxoYcxese2oUJ9z49K6yMktE_fks90ZhHt4qxkBQw8g8wI8bT8eo/s1600/IMG_1056.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8ENlRBvdGSeeSIGybetRfBzYi0fpCzkiDKrmUcA_jfgPnXNIthmHpUOETcFZgYxfoX_wryQJh0k_JXkkfrcFqUroTxoYcxese2oUJ9z49K6yMktE_fks90ZhHt4qxkBQw8g8wI8bT8eo/s1600/IMG_1056.JPG" height="640" width="478" /></a></div>
<br />
Took me a while to get my head round it but I was on a roll once I started. This is the first quarter<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSPPehnO3SaryDxWhMM_XpKjLzNYANnUqromSUgK8TwVwzYq15ygSSDMCpi9qB0j56w5OVYGhLjdy3ZvR7e22uNqRABsw4pShHee7ZlwfRnVfMAQZ9HKgrCqaZfde8_wnclfnlXMrZzdg/s1600/IMG_1050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSPPehnO3SaryDxWhMM_XpKjLzNYANnUqromSUgK8TwVwzYq15ygSSDMCpi9qB0j56w5OVYGhLjdy3ZvR7e22uNqRABsw4pShHee7ZlwfRnVfMAQZ9HKgrCqaZfde8_wnclfnlXMrZzdg/s1600/IMG_1050.JPG" height="298" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
followed by the second. You can see if will look fab once it's finished.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixWSh1Cpnd9DTexN3BnjhxczRu3-IB54C2iVYJyvt9AlH0mHY98NWej3yez2y6cPDaPBFXnn7ORdLaNO3U8MCbXNrOX0KTAXK_wCP_zSgZFRaQM5kxDMuwWGzHX6HbpBBXY7_hbgzP4Qk/s1600/IMG_1051.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixWSh1Cpnd9DTexN3BnjhxczRu3-IB54C2iVYJyvt9AlH0mHY98NWej3yez2y6cPDaPBFXnn7ORdLaNO3U8MCbXNrOX0KTAXK_wCP_zSgZFRaQM5kxDMuwWGzHX6HbpBBXY7_hbgzP4Qk/s1600/IMG_1051.JPG" height="400" width="298" /></a></div>
<br />
My Gypsy Wife quilt is all layered up with wadding and backing (see previous post) and ready to quilt. I've just realised what a marathon task it's going to be trying to get all this through my little sewing machine but it seems such a cop out to send it to the quilter. I have yet to decide what I'm going to do......<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiApLNIt9pbw4H_M7EIMbgOBK3gOrezBTLLsx28GdpQzOHX67M_R9p1rZyD_MA0EUedQKrEiSj-e3RIJMM0Z_mv0o9V1vV6VQz9uuQsM3BMnE97bQX6Vh0IXjvwA8-jUsmVIebMNpvkPL0/s1600/IMG_1082.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiApLNIt9pbw4H_M7EIMbgOBK3gOrezBTLLsx28GdpQzOHX67M_R9p1rZyD_MA0EUedQKrEiSj-e3RIJMM0Z_mv0o9V1vV6VQz9uuQsM3BMnE97bQX6Vh0IXjvwA8-jUsmVIebMNpvkPL0/s1600/IMG_1082.JPG" height="298" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And finally, I've started dressmaking. There are so many patterns on the internet that you can download and print yourself now. I've also discovered I've got a local fabric shop which is actually a tardis inside lol I've started with this.... just my colours and am already making my second item. Watch this space!<br />
<br />

I've started knitting again as it's winter and found this cute little shawl pattern on the internet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6lOXLE6vB1YPppgd86jyXPDTtGvd2dk1VRYjr4U7yxKNOXp3CAvwJqf6HKYEv3vWiw3i2tYticu0u-HB_lYh6-Z7Rn7JD73MW-GkEE_-jBbzUVZWYPctN3UVotHuR1ITR4TrEOkIaOQA/s1600/shawl01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6lOXLE6vB1YPppgd86jyXPDTtGvd2dk1VRYjr4U7yxKNOXp3CAvwJqf6HKYEv3vWiw3i2tYticu0u-HB_lYh6-Z7Rn7JD73MW-GkEE_-jBbzUVZWYPctN3UVotHuR1ITR4TrEOkIaOQA/s1600/shawl01.jpg" height="258" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I was supposed to block the lace edging but decided not to as I liked the bounce and frilly effect. It's likely the blocking would lose that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv5A2SAAsqx21InnxMPotwtcyT026njgsQLIaX6bXiVaq6FVYsu9lr97j0cE2rvL2I5CKVtV42ZlaRL-H0oScvMgqUsNPTk6SNqJUxgghbfgxifR9Ejx7Dzz71rVFNGydxG0GpEEDtejs/s1600/Shawl02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv5A2SAAsqx21InnxMPotwtcyT026njgsQLIaX6bXiVaq6FVYsu9lr97j0cE2rvL2I5CKVtV42ZlaRL-H0oScvMgqUsNPTk6SNqJUxgghbfgxifR9Ejx7Dzz71rVFNGydxG0GpEEDtejs/s1600/Shawl02.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
It's a cute extra warm layer for these cold frosty days.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="text-align: left;">I bought a charm pack at a local quilt show. I love bright colour but when I put it all together I thought it was going to be a horrible clash. Luckily I've managed to settle it down with the mellow border and solid colour edging the blocks. </span></div>

My local quilting shop came up with this brilliant binding (see above) which picks up the colours from all the blocks. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It looks really cheerful on the coffee table. Finally, I've been looking at this quilt pattern called Gypsy Wife for ages. </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I ordered the pattern and have started making all the different blocks from the scraps that I have in my fabric stash. I think I'm finally getting more accurate! (click on pics below for a slide show of some of the blocks I've made so far).</div>

Each diamond shape has it's own contrasting border<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2HHY789MiiNB4OW3gTXPtW5kzn8Ca7hACGJA_oKZTV5m09IoOwJ-LfTKyPj4f-vaT35dvwmc7kUyQIVFz6aNTe9dhI0-yJ1MN2rQX-Pwo2bIMXTBEjf2e0z7a3q8Dg_RJon7RJz8hFeo/s1600/stitch+detail.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2HHY789MiiNB4OW3gTXPtW5kzn8Ca7hACGJA_oKZTV5m09IoOwJ-LfTKyPj4f-vaT35dvwmc7kUyQIVFz6aNTe9dhI0-yJ1MN2rQX-Pwo2bIMXTBEjf2e0z7a3q8Dg_RJon7RJz8hFeo/s1600/stitch+detail.jpg" height="230" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
.. and they get stitched together in strips across the diagonal once the border goes on. I decided to add my own stitching detail across the diamonds for added interest.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It's ended up as an unexpected present for my parents as it looks really good on their dining room table!<br />

I'm finding it difficult to get my head round crafting but one of my workmates asked if I would make a bag for her so having chosen a pattern (which was a freebie I had from the internet), she went and bought some gorgeous fabric from Liberty and off I went.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKXxuhau84spkAp4LzV6G_lAm1LVGk94ay9i0WVN7bio5Qjo4vvN9e3Q7c5KUsdL00j6AAo-j3BrTtor9IvwjDhaYGYpfpPiY3_FRoAc2iTiGh8UNDk0CJkaWcUC0weOKTb6UBeJc5uJI/s1600/fabric.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKXxuhau84spkAp4LzV6G_lAm1LVGk94ay9i0WVN7bio5Qjo4vvN9e3Q7c5KUsdL00j6AAo-j3BrTtor9IvwjDhaYGYpfpPiY3_FRoAc2iTiGh8UNDk0CJkaWcUC0weOKTb6UBeJc5uJI/s1600/fabric.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
The fabric pack came in 5-7 inch strips so in order to get a piece to fit my pattern template, I stitched the strips together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggjn6qqEfDY-vJEmj7xnH-SGPVTzXqMszW7DxCxWt9qFePcYnIiW5YbrW5H_FuigkCtL8mJX3JscPnjsPtcP7M-havNL0weFKLADAZ3bcU76AAPOogXGuRrWTxEMHvLHqD6fAjDXw_p9w/s1600/top+edge.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggjn6qqEfDY-vJEmj7xnH-SGPVTzXqMszW7DxCxWt9qFePcYnIiW5YbrW5H_FuigkCtL8mJX3JscPnjsPtcP7M-havNL0weFKLADAZ3bcU76AAPOogXGuRrWTxEMHvLHqD6fAjDXw_p9w/s1600/top+edge.jpg" height="197" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The bag has a really interesting top edge shape as well as an outside pocket...<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
...plus a couple of nice roomy inside pockets (you can just see I did some random quilting on the inside).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Since then I've followed his career from knitting to tapestry to quilting, completed many of his kits and patterns along the way and own way too many of his books (but they are lovely to look at!). Finally today, I made it to the exhibition in Bath. I've been on holiday for the past two weeks. It's been rather an up and down two weeks, this being my third attempt to get there. Don't know where the days are going to at the moment!<br />
<br />
I've used a couple of TL dies here. The flower die I cut a couple of times and arranged round the edge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipf8XzIfKn-SD5ExtsdROWg0JVOAU-6WsY0EkABqFXkVUpciVHiyrOtwf8Ulugt8rtQ1Q3ZeL0_hLXXcsjI28xriILZWSL9hhyUKGUoLe8R8zZF5n-VfuPQQeok7RLbQ4pyUcRRql05cg/s1600/TL+Especially+for+you+01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipf8XzIfKn-SD5ExtsdROWg0JVOAU-6WsY0EkABqFXkVUpciVHiyrOtwf8Ulugt8rtQ1Q3ZeL0_hLXXcsjI28xriILZWSL9hhyUKGUoLe8R8zZF5n-VfuPQQeok7RLbQ4pyUcRRql05cg/s1600/TL+Especially+for+you+01.jpg" height="378" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The "especially for you" die cut out from the background paper and then inserted another cut die from a different background paper so it looks as though it has a border.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq7AFY2vKYfUdz1SiWXl6puqV5FeTSn_6SaOAIeUXU1hZS4Pl5ylYt18U-nB85hKzvai-D9BiCIJR5-WnMoOUf4sXYM3NuB9_43-O4xGRJoQR2O-84m53fetbu49X34y24YvpjnqPOfLU/s1600/TL+Especially+for+you+03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq7AFY2vKYfUdz1SiWXl6puqV5FeTSn_6SaOAIeUXU1hZS4Pl5ylYt18U-nB85hKzvai-D9BiCIJR5-WnMoOUf4sXYM3NuB9_43-O4xGRJoQR2O-84m53fetbu49X34y24YvpjnqPOfLU/s1600/TL+Especially+for+you+03.jpg" height="184" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then raised the background paper on a couple of layers of mounting foam onto a layer of burgundy card for some depth</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I know they're not everyone's thing but I've always had an eye for detail and these certainly have it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjq5XvQrwa2YhP4_jG85xpcKwlXNUiFZGAgReaBG7kFNev1AboujiFS4QM2JoS8VtgE9o7Rdby21AhiNCc8oFttzQc6axikAzGjAEK9yCgVCh0iASoWV_CfrnxO8xerLDTABoPJ5bB8NE/s1600/TL+Kedleston+happy+birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjq5XvQrwa2YhP4_jG85xpcKwlXNUiFZGAgReaBG7kFNev1AboujiFS4QM2JoS8VtgE9o7Rdby21AhiNCc8oFttzQc6axikAzGjAEK9yCgVCh0iASoWV_CfrnxO8xerLDTABoPJ5bB8NE/s1600/TL+Kedleston+happy+birthday.jpg" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm also impressed with how easily they release from the die. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNj5CTdbdpe9whG92pt3q94ZiyxjOG_AQ_QVrD9nzm-Z0lSkci4pb736SXokte-RNG_sz38dhIckUdiL-Ak582SCWdfvSgD59YboFxiT1qR_mfa3mAYNXm4qYhx4e7xlQLG-LhsltFNu4/s1600/TL+Bloomsbury+01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNj5CTdbdpe9whG92pt3q94ZiyxjOG_AQ_QVrD9nzm-Z0lSkci4pb736SXokte-RNG_sz38dhIckUdiL-Ak582SCWdfvSgD59YboFxiT1qR_mfa3mAYNXm4qYhx4e7xlQLG-LhsltFNu4/s1600/TL+Bloomsbury+01.jpg" height="400" width="287" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you can see I've started off pretty simple</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhTScJlEO049PxwCOHA_fpE-LH6GjW6Ov387ax4v1JjE0wDtOwf8XwH3tv5u_COBLkyT5B7qaATp3GCeLKbjomClwW-7bnqNK2WgvqiL861fWpI3cz7pFNItC_SIm20uONd8tEd8haIcA/s1600/TL+Bloomsbury+happy+birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhTScJlEO049PxwCOHA_fpE-LH6GjW6Ov387ax4v1JjE0wDtOwf8XwH3tv5u_COBLkyT5B7qaATp3GCeLKbjomClwW-7bnqNK2WgvqiL861fWpI3cz7pFNItC_SIm20uONd8tEd8haIcA/s1600/TL+Bloomsbury+happy+birthday.jpg" height="400" width="307" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
They don't need much decoration with all the detail. Although I did get a bit distressed with this one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcKCuaqZFIdmthjMfio1P08SQmYGUKXHM9QMBr1FC2j4A-tL-kswN4i-vuePzbPGLX1Ht7IUvCypF1ePZcMnqnv3EXhM380Ds3KGASt_0yyCP9Bof9OQX_lLGer4K2My6hMW0Bi4-W7lQ/s1600/TL+Haddon+01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcKCuaqZFIdmthjMfio1P08SQmYGUKXHM9QMBr1FC2j4A-tL-kswN4i-vuePzbPGLX1Ht7IUvCypF1ePZcMnqnv3EXhM380Ds3KGASt_0yyCP9Bof9OQX_lLGer4K2My6hMW0Bi4-W7lQ/s1600/TL+Haddon+01.jpg" height="400" width="335" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And this one's just blinging bonkers. Admittedly this is not just Tattered Lace but Tim Holz and a freebie stencil that I had lying around.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsQIOg5JV8iS1J5g8LrQId6YDSDfRjGsO4GBptd_Sdk8nLHOLIFAx0bYeACBqYT_ZadqhUETCqy54_8s7sTMnS4Re1d7X-POVrKgg3hdSC5C93dtBaNyD6-gyrVa-oIQRQXCRZMB67ccU/s1600/Blinging+bonkers+012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsQIOg5JV8iS1J5g8LrQId6YDSDfRjGsO4GBptd_Sdk8nLHOLIFAx0bYeACBqYT_ZadqhUETCqy54_8s7sTMnS4Re1d7X-POVrKgg3hdSC5C93dtBaNyD6-gyrVa-oIQRQXCRZMB67ccU/s1600/Blinging+bonkers+012.jpg" height="397" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I think I did go a bit over the top,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQseIm3AA0NE9Q7x7qiJBLx-cyyRhX9WfilWeTAaMn1_z8NBDm6SZIe3QQjCdcePhXzTKs2FefqyIavimsaxD-kYRf7fYUF70b5-YamDdw_aHHoXke8yBqh35PFUnTODXIFddQwlJ-Fek/s1600/Blinging+bonkers+02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQseIm3AA0NE9Q7x7qiJBLx-cyyRhX9WfilWeTAaMn1_z8NBDm6SZIe3QQjCdcePhXzTKs2FefqyIavimsaxD-kYRf7fYUF70b5-YamDdw_aHHoXke8yBqh35PFUnTODXIFddQwlJ-Fek/s1600/Blinging+bonkers+02.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;">And here's a glimpse of my partially completed next quilting project from my class.... another table runner. More to follow...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

I finished this Japanese fabric table runner today. I'm really pleased with it. It's a lovely texture and the colours are so peaceful.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgowtrrT_XXzHj0rPz1pEjFYrNrOj4x7ZUU6g9YMxE75lPm_cIP2wER0GDHNwLRVlqZjFB9lM8aVSb8vCmCUyWSkWutlLp8it4Fe9AIqusXzD0R-z0rGQjDbJd5-jUJrWw6PEaJirDS0QI/s1600/all.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgowtrrT_XXzHj0rPz1pEjFYrNrOj4x7ZUU6g9YMxE75lPm_cIP2wER0GDHNwLRVlqZjFB9lM8aVSb8vCmCUyWSkWutlLp8it4Fe9AIqusXzD0R-z0rGQjDbJd5-jUJrWw6PEaJirDS0QI/s1600/all.jpg" height="400" width="318" /></a></div>
<br />
There was some decorative hand stitching called sashiko.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDF4hihulUhK_a0s8FpCL00JAa2voVRGalybxzW3qP-Es6gdNwa2fXQ3BLzfngdKZAYSFfe8jCo7Qa_A01hrYNtoD3AfvQvGQFVzLXEZ9zSi04HVkxFaUeiRRnQMlmnSU25VW-JB4lT8c/s1600/sashiko+shape+002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDF4hihulUhK_a0s8FpCL00JAa2voVRGalybxzW3qP-Es6gdNwa2fXQ3BLzfngdKZAYSFfe8jCo7Qa_A01hrYNtoD3AfvQvGQFVzLXEZ9zSi04HVkxFaUeiRRnQMlmnSU25VW-JB4lT8c/s1600/sashiko+shape+002.jpg" height="400" width="381" /></a></div>
<br />
Basically it's a running stitch and the stitches must all be exactly the same size and never cross each other.<br />
I did manage to avoid them crossing each other but they are definitely not all the same size.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvdgwo0lBHDtK0N39RCGBxsyMjpmNi0z7RrfEWJYr1HsnonprJKiO_X3rEnXWL3jKU5p-cNSFKs8yjnGGoSMHDkKLhL_RPy2bIz63Y3YlrQgCoWAdWrloQoiX-9qeCg6AsUu3q7c4Snus/s1600/sashiko+shape+001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvdgwo0lBHDtK0N39RCGBxsyMjpmNi0z7RrfEWJYr1HsnonprJKiO_X3rEnXWL3jKU5p-cNSFKs8yjnGGoSMHDkKLhL_RPy2bIz63Y3YlrQgCoWAdWrloQoiX-9qeCg6AsUu3q7c4Snus/s1600/sashiko+shape+001.jpg" height="400" width="382" /></a></div>
<br />
And in my quilting class (the above was a side project!) I've been making table mats.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifzjB6G9jCF6F14Oerg-nzIOfx7XpkQXsCjrvvq-UO3PbnwSwOAxcJVYeGb36WUIUJzhHugFlZeBZnfQ3PNuPs8ofzPtYQdn0sTj6uxW5gIbPlooWIXQ7k2VvwM7HgPvJr557NtukuuXA/s1600/mats.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifzjB6G9jCF6F14Oerg-nzIOfx7XpkQXsCjrvvq-UO3PbnwSwOAxcJVYeGb36WUIUJzhHugFlZeBZnfQ3PNuPs8ofzPtYQdn0sTj6uxW5gIbPlooWIXQ7k2VvwM7HgPvJr557NtukuuXA/s1600/mats.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I never realised quilting took so long - especially the speed I go.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh356szD0XMaEJ_wzwcY277dCy1MJszkboM8q6wIUfsHjbO7Ans3d11v2VmFzyq6ysOFK969r_mbskuHs1hqyP76cdjIVcfqVmCYuDIOpeYXOSm8LRF1ttMT_XhHz361jItru7XgDOp1Mc/s1600/table+mat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh356szD0XMaEJ_wzwcY277dCy1MJszkboM8q6wIUfsHjbO7Ans3d11v2VmFzyq6ysOFK969r_mbskuHs1hqyP76cdjIVcfqVmCYuDIOpeYXOSm8LRF1ttMT_XhHz361jItru7XgDOp1Mc/s1600/table+mat.jpg" height="365" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And because there was some fabric left over I made some coasters too. Unfortunately I ran out of red, hence the cream binding on one of them lol.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

There was quite a bit of embroidery which challenged my hand sewing skills - especially trying to be accurate with the backstitch outlining the hexies</div>

I also managed to visit the Quilting Show at <a href="http://www.threecounties.co.uk/">The Three Counties Showground </a>. Mind boggling - all the talent on show.. and all the fabric to buy.. I took so many photos. Also managed a class and made this little pincushion. It's a technique called cathedral window.</div>

Poor old blog. It's a bit neglected at the moment. My crafting is changing at the moment. I feel like I need a new challenge.The stitching is taking over, I've even had a go at making some clothes and obviously the projects don't appear as fast. Added to that, I'm doing some studying and have a couple of essays to write. It's severely taxing the poor old brain which hasn't had to cope with anything like it ever lol.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've always liked detail so I'm making a needle case to hold all my needle packets. To start I need over 70 half inch hexagons. (that means half inch each side) They are tiny, hand cut and hand stitched.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha-IoKE-9CwM-AN_e50athfFuMtoJHlk8YBQ2n4ztxg9zKVW9jvMzDoRhFHEMVt7yc-C6eTEdfOkdFHtIM8y3-UNQOeh_EbaeMgyEwGDaJVZRW1hjRZw9NxEaI_g0VfobWa3kna1zqMpQ/s1600/Needlecase02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha-IoKE-9CwM-AN_e50athfFuMtoJHlk8YBQ2n4ztxg9zKVW9jvMzDoRhFHEMVt7yc-C6eTEdfOkdFHtIM8y3-UNQOeh_EbaeMgyEwGDaJVZRW1hjRZw9NxEaI_g0VfobWa3kna1zqMpQ/s1600/Needlecase02.jpg" height="232" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
They'll go along the middle of the needle case like this....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZZ3FIKj7mxjiq9Rr3YgM6z5E0aWMZ31_xNcdjNllMJxDpD6TkDnfUSBf2Hnp2T9h3pKkT29CZltfZe4DYG265LZ7k7qqeOYdwk89Lkq9rck6UlP0V8FTTGGkM3rjv2xE5AGJCREg1Wjc/s1600/Needlecase01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZZ3FIKj7mxjiq9Rr3YgM6z5E0aWMZ31_xNcdjNllMJxDpD6TkDnfUSBf2Hnp2T9h3pKkT29CZltfZe4DYG265LZ7k7qqeOYdwk89Lkq9rck6UlP0V8FTTGGkM3rjv2xE5AGJCREg1Wjc/s1600/Needlecase01.jpg" height="107" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I now have to stitch them all together. It seems to be a long road stretching away into the distance at the moment..... but definitely fun!<br />
<br />

... is the name for the quilt pattern used on my latest bag. I never realised how much work went into quilting until I actually got involved. Here are the flying geese close up. . As you can see they are not flat on the work but dimensional.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzetvIdfb4b3WUSa4HhJn-I6sQvM7E4AtUDIVAwMJny7kBL51lbJqBqT5eVHlvWgNQX0zT27YTgM0Xt5dgoQ5Kd15RLBS220T9OJVbUtxwcmjgmGoE2hOu94DnFVovUZS9-arGuk3ix7M/s1600/pinwheel.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzetvIdfb4b3WUSa4HhJn-I6sQvM7E4AtUDIVAwMJny7kBL51lbJqBqT5eVHlvWgNQX0zT27YTgM0Xt5dgoQ5Kd15RLBS220T9OJVbUtxwcmjgmGoE2hOu94DnFVovUZS9-arGuk3ix7M/s1600/pinwheel.jpg" height="225" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
They are attached to the body of the bag at the point of the diamond to achieve that effect</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is the front completed layered up with wadding and backing with the quilting finished.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The inside is also 3 layers making it quite a substantial and solid bag. I practiced my free-motion quilting here on the inside to echo the pattern on the fabric ...</div>

The one below is for <a href="http://minibookpixie.blogspot.co.uk/">Paula</a> (and I'm sorry I completely forgot your birthday!) The sentiment is one of Lin Brown's new plates over at PaperArtsy and the paper is ancient from my stash so probably not available any more.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9WQJoMaBVr6E3_2aWcWIyGCbvi48QUBU5sGdjtnJBgdf38dBEjsCo2toAhB_69oaNI5YMDCxdp5xZYMSx5qtXHxPYTEfbVkQIYc5hQs2jKxuGKfcbPs9pj9zn1m9TnK2wbf5iDMTHVgs/s1600/HFC+Tattered+Blossoms+004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9WQJoMaBVr6E3_2aWcWIyGCbvi48QUBU5sGdjtnJBgdf38dBEjsCo2toAhB_69oaNI5YMDCxdp5xZYMSx5qtXHxPYTEfbVkQIYc5hQs2jKxuGKfcbPs9pj9zn1m9TnK2wbf5iDMTHVgs/s1600/HFC+Tattered+Blossoms+004.jpg" height="316" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I've been using spray adhesive to attach the glitter recently... it works quite well. The centres of the flowers are smaller versions of the same die moulded with a ball tool. There are lots of videos on the HFC blog and their YouTube channel if you're interested.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNU_vIIoXkio94F-Q1HHY6LCGfvlo8hvLbPYG4QLlDzLqyQ2tW0fSxQXTPG7X1KgBc_kxhlAnzJPd67l7mE-nhMuXCmZ_9AOFlcP_ye538TnwbfWjqxXWORhFuz6idx_920V94Lm5t29c/s1600/HFC+Tattered+Blossoms+004a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNU_vIIoXkio94F-Q1HHY6LCGfvlo8hvLbPYG4QLlDzLqyQ2tW0fSxQXTPG7X1KgBc_kxhlAnzJPd67l7mE-nhMuXCmZ_9AOFlcP_ye538TnwbfWjqxXWORhFuz6idx_920V94Lm5t29c/s1600/HFC+Tattered+Blossoms+004a.jpg" height="232" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And of course it was Mothering Sunday yesterday. These papers are from a Teresa Collins paper pack and I've used a Spellbinders trellis die (perfect size for a 5 x 7" card)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Here's a close up . The flower centres are resin - I think they came from The Range.<br />
<br />

It gets it's name from the way it's put together, basically four strips of fabric in the shape of windmill sails and the sides of the sails are sewn together to form the bag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghHclp81HmnO2VL5c1ADsKZY-AbhoOhoH3jXpegVEzIVRpkCQKIIrmOOXCePhL3cRJw8GjKkkgETVTtvUq_dlDeZuuk5B9ud3A-Dbz_zTZohgE2mRAZASHBxW_fljl4SDw6GpY5qcsZg4/s1600/wb01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghHclp81HmnO2VL5c1ADsKZY-AbhoOhoH3jXpegVEzIVRpkCQKIIrmOOXCePhL3cRJw8GjKkkgETVTtvUq_dlDeZuuk5B9ud3A-Dbz_zTZohgE2mRAZASHBxW_fljl4SDw6GpY5qcsZg4/s1600/wb01.jpg" height="400" width="301" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
There is an inner and outer layer, both the same, so lots of colour on the inside too<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7nGIqQ6mUwH74DoGzbWlMkLtUnJMh0U9nq8JzKJDBxhU_fvgPw0rLcsZ_RQe9a63lPMduGQ95lGj0vHsyg_D1G2FGm3zDzlvCSKmUahTmZxFo5lTh72_7yy-mQmlf2gGZ9fXaVUeE3q8/s1600/wb03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7nGIqQ6mUwH74DoGzbWlMkLtUnJMh0U9nq8JzKJDBxhU_fvgPw0rLcsZ_RQe9a63lPMduGQ95lGj0vHsyg_D1G2FGm3zDzlvCSKmUahTmZxFo5lTh72_7yy-mQmlf2gGZ9fXaVUeE3q8/s1600/wb03.jpg" height="250" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Considering it's such a mishmash, I think the colours and patterns sit really well together. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Great fun to make and I learnt a lot about stitching and quilting in the process</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I've definitely got a glitter thing on the go at the moment . I've been using the Imagination Sparkle Medium which comes already mixed in a paste and can go straight through your stencil as well as the Cosmic Shimmer Clear Texture Paste through the stencil and then pouring glitter onto the images once the stencil is lifted.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYeQH_Pd2ZHz34H_Kz7VVK8LOcm5QCDHXn5VNHZ_3w25SKa0VXVmaBMPXlMy9x6_z_WJPDvL4XMiyuzHgxZ8l7cPeLgGDpObPnj5vV7cGw7qeGk3xkYG61m3dZegksKhuf5poqUZzB2ag/s1600/Glitter+stencil+05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYeQH_Pd2ZHz34H_Kz7VVK8LOcm5QCDHXn5VNHZ_3w25SKa0VXVmaBMPXlMy9x6_z_WJPDvL4XMiyuzHgxZ8l7cPeLgGDpObPnj5vV7cGw7qeGk3xkYG61m3dZegksKhuf5poqUZzB2ag/s1600/Glitter+stencil+05.jpg" height="388" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love the way you can combine different colours and then matching the glitter with my coloured card stock. It really sings on a black background. I've added a few black pearls to the one below to break up the space.</div>

I think I was in need of blowing away the winter blues with these colours.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I've always been a fan of green</div>

I absolutely love this card. I could hardly bear to part with it so I'll have to make another one! I couldn't blog it before because it uses one of Lin Brown's new quote stamps.<br />
<br />

<br />
At the same time I made this tag .... and then I decided to turn it into a card!<br />

So anyone who follows the PaperArtsy blog will now know that they have (hooray) released some new papers. I loved their Thorndon papers which are now sadly discontinued. They were such good quality and these are certainly on a par. They go beautifully, not only with Lin Brown's range of stencils, stamps and new Fresco Limited edition paints but also the rest of the PA range.</div>
<br />
Once again, I've been so lucky to have a play. I can HIGHLY recommend them.<br />
<br />
The set of ATCs below uses a combination of PaperArtsy stencils (old and new) and I used one of the many PA script stamps on the paper as background. You can see that this paper echoes the diamond stencil.<br />

The paper below echoes one of Lin's new stencils<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I used Lin's ELB04 plate and the new Fresco colours to stamp up some flowers on black card and used on of the quotes from ELB05 as well as some lace from my stash.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My final mixed media piece below was made using the images from EDY05, EDY06, EDY07 and EMO4.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The background was put together on corrugated card using<a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/grunge-paste-4129-p.asp"> Grunge Paste</a> for texture. I painted it with a mixture of Claret, Tinned Peas, Hey Pesto, Green Olives, Cheesecake and Haystack. I stamped the grass/flower stamp and embossed with black embossing powder. I intentionally didn't worry about having a complete image. I used the little mixed circles stamp from EDY06 and Claret Fresco for added interest and finally highlighted with <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/treasure-gold---white-fire-3829-p.asp">White Fire Treasure Gold.</a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I painted a couple of pieces of Smoothy Card separately with Fresco Claret and Tinned Peas, stamped the flamingo image and then cut out different sections of the claret flamingo and stuck them onto the tinned peas flamingo. Probably unnecessarily time consuming (!) but it did give more depth lol. </div>

PaperArtsy are going to be on fire this year! <br />
<br />
So here we go........ Darcy's new stamps. If you haven't already been over to the PaperArtsy blog for the big reveal it's<a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2014/02/new-paperartsy-2014-products-eclectica.html"> here.</a> There are 4 new A5 plates and 8 minis.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Darcy has a fabulous line of quirky stamps which are such fun to play with. It was very exciting when the postman arrived with the delivery of the new stamps.<br />
<br />
I started off quite simply with some kraft card and my colouring pencils. You can see there's quite a steampunk element to the stamps (EDY08) as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM2WLKvRVPm-8VY_FeNJmbO1ixT58ineQRnUAPWcGHvMGfffFKYb6DR3KQDsBW4KYpYH5WHtLdUi1XoDl4efIzy_Eo8treMkkB-z937giqUyr75b2qAIuIriw-BXdqegTjAdfB7r8RNHQ/s1600/reach+high+kraft+card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM2WLKvRVPm-8VY_FeNJmbO1ixT58ineQRnUAPWcGHvMGfffFKYb6DR3KQDsBW4KYpYH5WHtLdUi1XoDl4efIzy_Eo8treMkkB-z937giqUyr75b2qAIuIriw-BXdqegTjAdfB7r8RNHQ/s1600/reach+high+kraft+card.jpg" height="400" width="286" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Next, using three of the new minis as my main images I created some ATCs using <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/smoothy---white-stamping-card-3455-p.asp">Smoothy Card.</a> (perfect surface for applying inks and paints). Each image (EM01,EM03,EM07) was stamped onto the ATC. I then created a mask for each image, placed it on the card and coloured the background with distress inks. The mask could then be removed and the images were coloured with Fresco paints. I purposely made the mask slightly larger than the stamped image so that a white border was left to highlight the image. Finally I stamped round the edges of the ATC and added the word stamp.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_9IvIXcDmclN0xH6jRH0YHb71tnmDhxQMTaTn7tqMp_5Zb1HzsSATFZ4Hg4UYlFt2pGXUDFe4HRPzHi4j7KcFVqvOnkHPamwCgGlV0PUj_efAueQdqd7HjsmY9uvlw24sXIbwACn0tho/s1600/ATCs2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_9IvIXcDmclN0xH6jRH0YHb71tnmDhxQMTaTn7tqMp_5Zb1HzsSATFZ4Hg4UYlFt2pGXUDFe4HRPzHi4j7KcFVqvOnkHPamwCgGlV0PUj_efAueQdqd7HjsmY9uvlw24sXIbwACn0tho/s1600/ATCs2.jpg" height="185" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
PaperArtsy have recently introduced some new colours to the range. If you haven't come across <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic paints</a> before, there are now 64 gorgeous colours in the range in a mixture of opaque, semi-opaque and translucent. They dry matt and are very easy to use. One of the great advantages from my point of view is that they can be stamped on without losing clarity of your image. There is a great YouTube tutorial by Leandra <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5DmP4AncA4">here</a> which helps explain how the paints work together. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This is a size <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/manila-tags-size-8-6-14-x-3-18-3151-p.asp">No 8 tag</a>. I used one of the minis for my main focal here. This little bird is so cute and the words work beautifully alongside.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1QAFb6OWWydEfCOY53vxE5zv-DXUfwV9LshuHEMJhaNqEluBVZOOjfbSxriWy6PsliI0g5JDDnP-1kzAycUYS5O11nPlrqyOjugLuaL0LfJIkHTdbOrRad1GNPlxXBCP9_Zqkcgb-klM/s1600/BeUnique+Be+Beautiful+tag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1QAFb6OWWydEfCOY53vxE5zv-DXUfwV9LshuHEMJhaNqEluBVZOOjfbSxriWy6PsliI0g5JDDnP-1kzAycUYS5O11nPlrqyOjugLuaL0LfJIkHTdbOrRad1GNPlxXBCP9_Zqkcgb-klM/s1600/BeUnique+Be+Beautiful+tag.jpg" height="400" width="255" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I think the birdcage (EDY07) is one of my favourite stamps from the collection. The plaque below was made using greyboard, again painted with Fresco paints. The hanger (EDY07) for the birdcage is actually part of another stamp which I (gulp) decided to cut in half because this fit my purpose better. It's still possible to use it as it was meant to be once the two parts are stuck back together on an acrylic block. <br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiArxqZk_DtCfhf8CjPgSkL5_MNiq3ml37zfT-bySqaYNcUq-jCa8cNjA-p9HoqhYe3foiMLBuHD7uXtSao0-MaXox1GD7VOQ2X_x-6SOKJi1bSHBFIhqDMRBSFjqXlgC52qE5Y65kjpGg/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiArxqZk_DtCfhf8CjPgSkL5_MNiq3ml37zfT-bySqaYNcUq-jCa8cNjA-p9HoqhYe3foiMLBuHD7uXtSao0-MaXox1GD7VOQ2X_x-6SOKJi1bSHBFIhqDMRBSFjqXlgC52qE5Y65kjpGg/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+final.jpg" height="320" width="199" /></a></div>
<br />
To add interest to the background, I stamped another small background stamp from EDY07 using clear embossing powder.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPyQaHoj1dDL-HARi2FnE_-80PTeo87GjT67FYakWzxoSb2XK9g7woAyqHQ_pzqfmsPgXW-tckOf7n63S_MRSzZSrQMIiWVvfGsJSI0_30-YXSa_E63h6OWDXbazPrA-p_Bs0mI2vg67g/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+clear+emb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPyQaHoj1dDL-HARi2FnE_-80PTeo87GjT67FYakWzxoSb2XK9g7woAyqHQ_pzqfmsPgXW-tckOf7n63S_MRSzZSrQMIiWVvfGsJSI0_30-YXSa_E63h6OWDXbazPrA-p_Bs0mI2vg67g/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+clear+emb.jpg" height="247" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="text-align: justify;">The birdcage itself I coloured with gold Krylon and to create the glass effect I used Ranger Glossy Accents. A flourish stamp (EDY07) was stamped round the edge with gold UTEE</span><br />
<span style="text-align: justify;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyRJ38UNJbKvfdTCGDV89zs3IDMYVSvU8ViuGptT_qZu02wFa1ddxhwBjIl6gXOshxVi-6o0oL3Fv3mu8XxjX9CpoFe8vZhRwnPTDEEULCBNZ-k_vAUoghbjZiZssQGpcunQ1pHssU6Xg/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+krylon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyRJ38UNJbKvfdTCGDV89zs3IDMYVSvU8ViuGptT_qZu02wFa1ddxhwBjIl6gXOshxVi-6o0oL3Fv3mu8XxjX9CpoFe8vZhRwnPTDEEULCBNZ-k_vAUoghbjZiZssQGpcunQ1pHssU6Xg/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+krylon.jpg" height="320" width="231" /></a></div>
<br />
I used glossy accents again on the the heart stamp (EDY06)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHZ2nz1uhZbO8QPJQ3FJL6RAE2_LxCpKLMIvXZTUfQEpsnL7AVd3SuUHL-mP7zPPknFkhz5_60prBTn6L0nFj-CbWPU5JPAuV9Ge4zjQpxGlkPxUJo0JZ0P1X4U3vR8Cnwx1NPo8uZpOQ/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+heart.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHZ2nz1uhZbO8QPJQ3FJL6RAE2_LxCpKLMIvXZTUfQEpsnL7AVd3SuUHL-mP7zPPknFkhz5_60prBTn6L0nFj-CbWPU5JPAuV9Ge4zjQpxGlkPxUJo0JZ0P1X4U3vR8Cnwx1NPo8uZpOQ/s1600/Reach+high+greyboard+heart.jpg" height="320" width="299" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I broke up the word quote as I didn't have room for all of it and it still works just as well.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I've just finished my second quilting project. I've so enjoyed doing this. The 2 hour class goes in 5 minutes! I'm learning lots including the new terminology like "stitching in the ditch" which means quilting in the seam line - often with invisible thread and is not easy to master (and I haven't mastered it yet!)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAMjwyDnzs6G0j70lCyqcM8NQKlnmj8sXLmjSt32Kj4ny26t0PrREfSXv_ogkYpZsIdh6GfAMR_qtjUMP1DB8YRmVPcGg8BE-rIM3p85rx269PcM_-BG6b6HBNHAgxOJE7-USA3AcGHSU/s1600/stitch+in+the+ditch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAMjwyDnzs6G0j70lCyqcM8NQKlnmj8sXLmjSt32Kj4ny26t0PrREfSXv_ogkYpZsIdh6GfAMR_qtjUMP1DB8YRmVPcGg8BE-rIM3p85rx269PcM_-BG6b6HBNHAgxOJE7-USA3AcGHSU/s1600/stitch+in+the+ditch.jpg" height="225" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It didn't take long for me to realise that if I was going to quilt I would need to invest in one of these...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMtXJlQsDqJj_BEI8lyDVIMARdM3_Ytnh96YMg5oSJlhLKS75yQZJd47knltAk7oZgH6xa6BFBHvTwUF_Dv7LFGsMkUoG9uBGRmNy23IBQPXw3KS2cLBpMPCQMw8ORhrzHuboF7p8M9wU/s1600/walking+foot.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMtXJlQsDqJj_BEI8lyDVIMARdM3_Ytnh96YMg5oSJlhLKS75yQZJd47knltAk7oZgH6xa6BFBHvTwUF_Dv7LFGsMkUoG9uBGRmNy23IBQPXw3KS2cLBpMPCQMw8ORhrzHuboF7p8M9wU/s1600/walking+foot.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
.... a walking foot. And it is an investment but makes the difference between your project looking smooth or puckered. It enables the layers of fabric to be fed through the machine at the same time.<br />
<br />

<br />
How to stitch evenly spaced rows (nearly!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj5QnmiL3h6dnQC3xxmwH4ZqNAJNEXJqm65wBEscwZd4bx474T_lZpHukm8vY1mGD-wxXNjJ9ccmdLe1PSXQgkgEV1COMKZZbln3xqDisxe6OXJULIn7YwsWRCOknuX3ljkr0f8qUJhOI/s1600/pinwheels.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj5QnmiL3h6dnQC3xxmwH4ZqNAJNEXJqm65wBEscwZd4bx474T_lZpHukm8vY1mGD-wxXNjJ9ccmdLe1PSXQgkgEV1COMKZZbln3xqDisxe6OXJULIn7YwsWRCOknuX3ljkr0f8qUJhOI/s1600/pinwheels.jpg" height="225" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
These are the pin wheels that give the cover it's name<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbhmj0P9Y19zwuiJFyX2hX0-i-9Z8c2yP06TqfQOgvqJp2yt3BVp3tgCqABv2jXN2WS8Kz9aixy64hQGLBmtRMuH5hc3Ww_FqjtGJMQpLpkqegPovbCCAWLbSbFbl3wjL5KzI4izTDBv8/s1600/pinwheel.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbhmj0P9Y19zwuiJFyX2hX0-i-9Z8c2yP06TqfQOgvqJp2yt3BVp3tgCqABv2jXN2WS8Kz9aixy64hQGLBmtRMuH5hc3Ww_FqjtGJMQpLpkqegPovbCCAWLbSbFbl3wjL5KzI4izTDBv8/s1600/pinwheel.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And the evenly spaced quilted stitching to highlight the pinwheels.<br />
<br />
