TMTA - frogs

Haven't had time to enter a challenge for ages. Anyone who's looked at my blog before knows I love the Gemini Angel Arts images and I've used one yet again here for this week's TMTA challenge.

TGIF - My Secret Garden

The TGIF theme this week is Secret Garden, hosted by multi-talented Jo Capper Sandon. I enjoyed making this.

A tag

Had a chance to play this afternoon and amongst other things ended up with this slightly strange tag. Image is from Gemini Angel Arts.

This week's theme on TMTA was Colourful - brilliant!! The background was made months ago with a mixture of gesso, acrylic paint and Lumiere (I think). The image is Gemini Angel Arts.

We don't stop playing.....

..... well I certainly don't stop playing LOL. I downloaded some digital backgrounds from Iron Orchid via the Prima Hybrid site the other day and printed one of them onto watercolour paper and painted it. This is what I ended up with.....

Chunky Fat Book Swap

I entered a chunky fat book swap on one of the group's I belong to and so many joined we all ended up having to make 27 pages!!! Apparently it's called a chunky fat book because you're supposed to use lots of embellishments on the page. It was hard work, particularly as I don't do simple! I'm looking forward to getting the finished product and to see what everyone else has made.

Work in progress........

Finished!!!

Skinny Saturday - Fairies

Skinny Saturday challenge is fairies. Thanks Sarah - perfect opportunity to play with my Gemini Angel Art images again LOL. Apologies the photo is slightly over-exposed due to my camera being on the wobble but you certainly get the effect of the glitter!

Skinny Saturday - Wings

Life is full of challenges at the moment and here's a new one - Skinny Saturday! I really enjoyed this one. It just came together and was the perfect opportunity to use this "skinny" Gemini Angel Arts image as well as my new flourish stamp from Stampinback. I also made an extra length of black card at the top so that at a later date I can incorporate these into a bind-it-all book (hopefully!) Thanks Sarah!

Saturday Stampers - I dream of trees

I was asked to do some projects for a magazine recently but got myself all stressed about it and couldn't make anything yesterday afternoon LOL. So I gave up, went surfing and found the Saturday Stamper challenge and had a go at that instead. At least I haven't lost it completely yet! The tree stamp is from a plate by Time To Stamp. The colour reproduction isn't perfect by any means. The acetate overlay hasn't helped as usual. You do get a better idea if you enlarge it (and it's HUGE!) The background was made with a mixture of different Creative Colour Sprays from Crafty Notions

Life is confusing

I had a play recently with no particular aim in mind and ended up with this! It makes me laugh. She looks so fed up! What I like about it and what isn't clear from the pic is that it has a gold glisten from the spray that I used as part of the background which makes it glow in the right light. It seemed a perfect first entry for this week's Wednesday Stamper!

Welcome to MY home

I got the new Paperbag Studios plate last week and had a chance to finish a project yesterday evening. My son wants this for his bedroom door LOL! As it was quite a long piece it's probably easier to view if you click on it to enlarge it.

Prince for a Day

The background for this came from Hermine’s site and is free to use. (scroll down the page to see it) The image is another Gemini Angel Art one.

A Fishy Tale

Love this. I’ve borrowed HEAVILY from Hermine. The background was done with some Creative Colour Sprays sold by Crafty Notions. I reckon there must be a big similarity to the Glimmer Mists.

Mermaid

This is one of the Fairy Kids images from a Gemini Angel Art collage sheet, transparencies from Crafty Individuals, blank chipboard (which I covered in a mix of green embossing powder) and my own transparency (the mermaid wording). I did try the bubble background technique by Trish Bayley. You can just see the bubbles in dark green. It all adds to the general effect!

I made this as an entry to a monthly challenge on one of ths stamping groups I belong to.

Lost in Your Dreams

Another puzzle piece. I love the Gemini Art images and
recently acquired a couple of sheets.
