I've been very lucky because I chose to take this week off work and the weather has been just gorgeous. So I'm up to date with my September & October's Calendar Challenge pages. Here's September completed.
I did like the background I made for October and it seemed a shame to cover it up ...
but here's the finished item. It should be called "Octopoder" really(!) October's a strangely laid out month and so that I didn't loose the weekday layout, I made 30th and 31st as a little fold out.

Two gorgeous calendar pages Carol. You're right - it was almost a shame to cover up the October page. You'll have to make another, just to look at and enjoy.
I love the new background, it is so full of wonderful colors and wonderful movement that it is a shame to cover it up! You are so great with these backgrounds maybe you should have a few index cards or other paper and paint them all at the same time for atc's or cards. Bravo dear for Septembers timely finish!
great pages, love the colours! Hugs Juls
This is great, I love the stamps!
Both brilliant - gorgeous colours and beautifully done. I think I have all the stamps you used in the first one - scary, he, he. Love the second one, though - lots of Hallowe'en images there and I don't have any of those! Fab Octopode image x
WOW - totally agree about the background, it looks stunning!!! You are ahead of yourself, it's only the first - lol.
Yes what a great week to have chosen, although it's way too hot for me - lol.

Fabulous page, I love the rich autumn palette you have used.
Great colors on both. I agree it's hard to cover up such a great background.
Lovely pages - do you ever make colour copies of your really fabulous backgrounds? Then you can use them again.
You certainly chose the right week to be off work. These two pages are great and the colours for October are fabulous xx
Fabulous calender pages, the October background is wonderful.
xxx Hazel.
The September pages look almost gothic with the dark edges and the creepy looking mushrooms. October should definitely be renamed Octopoder...love the creative use with the 30/31 days being put together.
The October page looks wonderful Carol. I'm still managing to keep up with mine and am having great fun doing it! I too chose autumn colours which is my favourite pallete to use. Where did you get your lettering from for the title?
I can see why you would not want to cover up that fabulous background, but even with the squares on it looks fab! I love the way you filled in September too!
Love you October background Carol. Hope you made another similar one to that. You've done so well keeping up with this, well done. Looking forward to seeing the last two months of the year too!
Wow! Very pretty. I really like the look of the alcohol inks. I haven't used them yet, but I think I'd like to. They are so soft.
Both ook absolutely great!
wow amazing pages
oooooooooo gorgeous inky background Carol! Love it!
Such wonderful backgrounds! Gorgeous. The Octopode stamps are just perfect for October :-)
That background is stunning. I'm not sure about covering it up. Grin. How do you do the little squares? Forgive me if my question is too silly, I am just wondering about that one. Are they glued on? Stamped? Wonderful work.
You have just the right stamps for October the pages are wonderful.
Gorgeous pages Carol and i love your Octopode images x
Fabulous pages... great background for October :D
I love autumnal colours and you have certainly got my creative juices flowing with all those rich warm colours you have chosen. A beautiful set of pages for the month of October and I love the bit of humour with it too.
I love both sets of pages. There's something wonderful about crafting in the garden this late in the year isn't there? x
Fab pages both Sept and Oct gorgeous background for Oct and what an ingenious idea to have a fold out for 30th and 31st also love the guy with no head!xx
