October Calendar Challenge

I've been very lucky because I chose to take this week off work and the weather has been just gorgeous. So I'm up to date with my September & October's Calendar Challenge pages.  Here's September completed.

I did like the background I made for October and it seemed a shame to cover it up ...

but here's the finished item.  It should be called "Octopoder" really(!)  October's a strangely laid out month and so that I didn't loose the weekday layout, I made 30th and 31st as a little fold out.

Two gorgeous calendar pages Carol. You're right - it was almost a shame to cover up the October page. You'll have to make another, just to look at and enjoy.

I love the new background, it is so full of wonderful colors and wonderful movement that it is a shame to cover it up! You are so great with these backgrounds maybe you should have a few index cards or other paper and paint them all at the same time for atc's or cards. Bravo dear for Septembers timely finish!

Both brilliant - gorgeous colours and beautifully done. I think I have all the stamps you used in the first one - scary, he, he. Love the second one, though - lots of Hallowe'en images there and I don't have any of those! Fab Octopode image x

Yes what a great week to have chosen, although it's way too hot for me - lol.

Great colors on both. I agree it's hard to cover up such a great background.

Lovely pages - do you ever make colour copies of your really fabulous backgrounds? Then you can use them again.

The September pages look almost gothic with the dark edges and the creepy looking mushrooms. October should definitely be renamed Octopoder...love the creative use with the 30/31 days being put together.

The October page looks wonderful Carol. I'm still managing to keep up with mine and am having great fun doing it! I too chose autumn colours which is my favourite pallete to use. Where did you get your lettering from for the title?

I can see why you would not want to cover up that fabulous background, but even with the squares on it looks fab! I love the way you filled in September too!

Wow! Very pretty. I really like the look of the alcohol inks. I haven't used them yet, but I think I'd like to. They are so soft.

That background is stunning. I'm not sure about covering it up. Grin. How do you do the little squares? Forgive me if my question is too silly, I am just wondering about that one. Are they glued on? Stamped? Wonderful work.
