Wow - this must be my longest time without a post. There's lots going on at home at the moment and I haven't really managed to get my head round crafting recently. Anyway - I've got a few things to show.
It's that sock time of year and I recently ordered some sock wool over the internet and it came flat packed....
literally.... What a brilliant way to keep down postage costs. One snip of the scissors and the balls of wool jumped right back into shape.
The qualified stitchers will probably look at this slightly aghast as I can see some awful errors here but I had such fun making this illuminated letter from a pattern by Angie Hughes. It's certainly a good way to learn some new machine embroidery techniques. You can see and buy the available workshop downloads here
And finally, it's a very popular time of year for crafting is Hallowe'en so to get myself going again I've made this tag using Tim's dies and stamps. I've also entered it for this month's Countryview Challenge.

Hey Carol - lovely to see you back in action... I've been pretty absent on the visiting front, so quite grateful I haven't missed loads of your great work!!
Your illuminated letter is really cool (as a non-stitcher I wouldn't begin to be able to spot any of the supposed faults!), and the tag looks fabulously spooky.
We've been doing lots of vacuum packing of extra bedding and clothes in order to squeeze ourselves into the new, much smaller house... great fun!!

Hi Carol, sorry I not been here in ages life been so hectic ... Sounds like it been the same 4 u. Loving your makes & the flat packed wool is amazing!! Hugs Juls
I love your illuminated letter Carol and have seen others on Angie's FB posts. It must have been a lovely workshop. The Halloween tag is fun and the colours are lovely. I have just finished knitting a cardigan and am feeling lost without something to knit. It's a pity I haven't enough oddments to take up yarn bombing! . Enjoy making your socks.
Two fab new projects. Love that letter, I can't see any errors in it & the tag is very spooky.
Great way to send the wool!
Lovely work as always Carol! Love your embroidery work and the tag looks spookilicious!
Your stitched letter looks fabulous Carol. No obvious errors to me!

A fab tag! To remain in the challenge you do need to mention the theme of the month though. Thanks for entering our challenge this month at Country View Challenges. Chris xxx

Carol - love the stitching on your letter - so intricate cant imagine where to start on it - looks great - loving the wool in vac pac bags :)
Sounds like one or two of us have been a bit lax in the blogging department and me especially so on commenting. I've had the will but not the energy for some reason and every time I've settled down for a nice hop around I've found myself nodding over the keyboard.... very frustrating not to mention annoying when laid in bed sleepless, lol!
I loved your embroidered letter and wouldn't even look for mistakes anyway but would just enjoy! Love the background on your Halloween tag and the bird looks great too.
Hugs
