I painted the cupcake image and candle with watercolour paints and to add some highlights, I added some blue glitter. The blue matt is stamped with the 3 other stamps that come in the same set and embossed in white. (click for a close up).
Do you know, the most difficult part of this card was lining up that tiny orange mat.

Gorgeous Carol, I love the colours.
I also love the stamps, having a few of the mini sets myself :0) :0)
Those blueprint stamps kind of grow on you don't they Carol. I love what you've done with this one.
What a delightful card, Carol - great tinting and sparkle on the blueprint. Look forward to seeing lots more of them!

What a wonderful design

That's a super card and very stylish. I can never line things up straight, even when I have measured carefully. As soon as the glue is dry they look crooked!
Fab card Carol, I'm sure she will love it and appreciate the fact you've not put 'the' number on it - lol

Didn't know that I liked the Blueprint series but seeing that card has completely changed my mind !
I loved the way you have used that stamp Carol. Fab card for your sister. Annette x
Have to admit that I'm not a fan of these type of stamps but I really do like the card you've made for your sister - I'm sure she'll love it.
Fabulous card Carol and I will keep an eye on your future projects with the blueprint stamps! :)
Lovely card Carol, the blueprints are growing on me an I love how you have used this one (and the set!)..
Hugs, neet xx
Fab way of marking one of those 'special' birthdays. I'm sure your SIL is going to love it. I'm not usually fussed about the blueprints but love what you've done with this one.
Hugs

PS Don't know how I managed to miss your gorgeous sparkly card two posts back ;D
Hello Carol, I am so excited to find you. I love how you do not limit your stamping to paper. I know that I can learn so much from your inspiring posts. The thing that bought me here was your blog name. Over a year ago I purchased some alcohol ink, but I have never used it. You see I live in this small town with no crafty or art stores, so when I go out of town I sometimes get a little crazy. I had heard about this ink, over and over, so I decided to buy some. I didn't even know at the time that it was not for paper. Anyway, by now I'm sure you think I'm a wacky gal . . . but really I just enjoy learning new things. Before I die, I want to give every interest a try :) I'm on the other side of over-the-hill and sliding down, so that's why I'm excited to have found your blog.
Although I can see that you are very busy, I'm going to take a chance and send you a warm invitation to visit my blog. I hope you see enough there that you will choose to follow me, too. I love blogging and enjoy all things crafty, from art, to sewing, to gardening and cooking . . .but most of all I enjoy making new friends and sharing ideas.
Have a lovely weekend; I hope to see you over in my corner of blog-land very soon.
Your newest follower and blogging sister, Connie :)
