More inspiration over on the PaperArtsy blog this week from France Papillon who made these gorgeous little key spools. If you're tempted, there's a YouTube video here. I must admit I couldn't find a wooden spool small enough so mine's a bit of a monster lol but it still turned out okay.
I used the TH dream stamp round the middle of the spool and my shrink plastic stamp is also dream related. Didn't have any clear shrink plastic but white worked well and I put some gold Krylon (like liquid gold leafing) round the edges. I also put some Krylon round the edge of the spool to lift it.

I think this works really well. These spools are just taking off! Each person puts a different, really interesting spin on them. I love the big lettering on yours and the gold works well with the lovely shrink plastic charm. I so want to play now; but I have no spools so I can't start until I get some!x
Lovely spool & I like the white shrink plastic edged with gold!

Looks fab Carol. Hugs Annette x
like your take on Frances' Papillon post over on the PA blog.
That's a great idea. I love what you have done and have seen others with embroidered fabric fastened round them. I haven't any small spools - mine really are monsters.
Not a monster at all - I love it... that little touch of gilding on the edges is delicious!
