Getting too close to Christmas....

Can't believe it's been a month since I blogged.  I find it really difficult to create during the winter evenings. The colour is never quite right even though I have my trusty Ottlite. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I decided to make some Christmas cards this year as I really loved the Tim Holz Framelits Tree Blueprint set so.... quite a few cards later....

I used a couple of Kaisercraft and Crafty Individuals paper pads that I had in my stash  as my background papers as well as some of my own inky backgrounds, again from my stash.

I like making variations on a theme and find it fun to see how you can change the look of your card by changing the paper and layout.

It also stops you getting bored if you're using the same stamp set over and over again! The pictures look better if you click on them to enlarge.

I love these cards Carol and all the variations you have created with that one great stamp. You don't want a factory production line - much more fun to have variety. I can't work with colour in the evening either and always choose threads or whatever before the daylight goes.

great series!!! And yes I have the same problem, so frustrating when you check with daylight that the colours are just off.

Great cards, Carol. Love how you've managed to vary each one. I was thinking of getting the TH set of stamps out to make some quick Christmas cards as I haven't even started yet! I'll have to cut them out by hand though :(

The cards are looking terrific - and you're definitely forgiven for the slight blog hiatus in the meantime!!

Yes, I really struggle to craft on winter evenings! I tend to to move over to crochet and knitting on these dark cold nights. Love the cards. Jo xx

I agree Carol, it is almost as if we have no daylight here...ever!! It makes it very difficult to take photos too....your cards are lovely though. I would say your colour choices in the dark look spot on!
