This 'n that

It was freezing yesterday so a perfect excuse to stay in and play.  I'm not usually into glitter but saw this interesting technique on Create & Craft a few days ago and thought I'd give it a go.  You need double sided sticky paper, stencils and glitter.  Briefly, cut out a piece of double sided sticky paper the same size as your stencil, attach it to some fairly strong card.  Pull off the top backing to the sticky paper and attach the stencil. Pour over your choice of glitter to fill the empty spaces.  Brush off all the glitter (fiddly!).  Then pull off the stencil and pour your second colour choice on the spaces now showing that were covered by the stencil.

Here's my first go....

Just in case you're wondering, the stencil is a "distressed " diamond so not all the diamonds are complete.  It isn't that the glitter has missed.

I love this one....

Moonlight through the trees....

Finally, I've also got a bit of a PaperArtsy thing going at the moment.  There are some very good technique videos by Leandra on YouTube and even if you aren't using the PA products, you can still pick up some useful stuff.

This tag was made using the bump technique (see video), one of the Lynn Perella stamps, Fresco paints, PA crackly tissue (which apparently is now out of production so hang on to your stocks!), gold UTEE and some hand dyed hessian ribbon as well as other stuff from my stash.

Really love the trees and moonlight image Carol. I'm always impressed with the artwork you post but don't often comment because I really haven't a clue how it is achieved... it's like a foreign language to me!!!
