The Snazzy's Design Team Blog challenge is steampunk this week and I thought I'd have a go but as the title indicates, it's more like cog overload. The main image is from the lovely Graphic 45 Steampunk
Debutante papers and the cog dies are spellbinders. I stuck some metal tape (raided from DH's workshop) to heavy card, ran them through my die cutter and then coloured with alcohol inks. The top of the card was cut with a TH On the Edge die. The little tiny "cogs" in her hair are actually jewellery roundels.

You can never have too many cogs! They take on quite a different character in various sizes. The tiny ones are so dainty. I love what you have done with this design.
Hi Carol, so pleased to see you joining in with our challenge this week with such a beautiful card, love this G45 paper, looks fab with the sprocket dies ... love everything about it. x
What a great card, and yes, there are a lot of cogs but they are placed so well that it looks great. Steampunky and elegant all at the same time, - a great combination in my book. Thanks for entering it into the challenge at Snazzys.
Not overload - fabulous cogging!! What a great piece centred on that wonderful woman at the heart of it... love it!

Hi Carol, What a beautiful elegant design. As Heather said cogs really can suit so many different styles depending on what they are teamed with and this lovely image is elegant. I shall have to try and remember how you've used the roundels too ..... very clever .... and the addition of the lace is perfect.
Thanks very much for joining in our Snazzys Challenge this week.

Fantastic card Carol! Love the cogs and that stamp always amazes me. You've put it all beautifully together.
I wouldn't go as far as saying that my mojo is back in full swing - but I am certainly trying lol ;) x
Gorgeous central image and love the way you've used the dreaded cogs around her (I used to hate cogs but I'm quite liking them now. . . !). Everything has come together to make a beautiful piece. Thanks for looking at my 'crows'! Just joined you as a follower, couldn't resist!
