Happy New Year everybody! I'm still here. Work has been very busy the last few weeks and I've been taking part in a City & Guilds hand embroidery course which I'm due to finish in the middle of January so I'm just having a break BUT, I've decided to join in Kate and Jill's Calendar Journal Challenge this year. Have no idea if I'll manage to keep going all year but the results from last year's calendar journallers have been very impressive. I'm sure you could still join if you wanted to. So, here are my blank pages for January.
I've decided to use a ring bound Pink Pig journal which I'm going to take apart and paint as I go. I'm completely hooked on Pink Pig journals - I need one in every size. lol They have a very speedy service too.
Have you spotted the deliberate mistake? Who didn't leave enough room for the 31st Jan!

What a fabulous start to yourcalendar challenge Carol, the background is fab and if you hadn't of said I wouldn't have knoen about 31st, it looks fine where it is xxxxx
It's quite quirky to have the 31st tucked in the corner like that. Sounds like a lovely project and I look forward to seeing how you go about it.
Love your start to this project.
I seem to be joining in so many journal challenges! Glad to see you doing this one, I am too. Only managed January last year, but a whole month was more than I've ever done before!!! And I love pink pigs too :)
What a fabulous January page, glad you've decided to join in all the fun. xx
Good luck with your course. Love your January pages and don't forget you will have loads of room for February as there are only 28 days..... have never heard of Pink Pig will have to go and look it out. Like the idea you can take out the pages and put them back. Happy New Year. Annette x
oooo good luck with it, and happy new year
Fab start Carol and I made many mistakes like that last year. Looking forward to seeing this one finished x

Great first page! (I'm joining in this year too and rather than missing off day 31 actually added a 32nd day!! - Our first task maybe learning how many days are in each month! Lol)Looking forward to see Jan all completed. Happy New Year.
Great pages, love the colour, very apt for a wintery January. Your course sounds very interesting and I am sure you will put it to good use in your craft. Tracy x
Fantastic start to the year, i just love seeing these pages, i'd join in myself but i know i'd end up way behind and with plenty of empty squares!!!
Happy New Year x I too love Pink Pig journals, they are so easy to use and are so collectable even if you don't use them (I am a hoarder). I love them so much I decided to stock them LOL. Good luck with your Calendar pages, I so wish I could join in but I just know I won't make it past Jan let along all the way to Dec.......

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the year!
I too am trying to join in this year too!
a Very Happy New year to you Carol. This is great! By coincidence, my friend Elaine has chosen Kate's journal calendar article from the January Craft Stamper mag as the inspiration for our Craft Stamping Quartet project this month. It might be a tall order to get it finished for the end of January (lots of other things going on at the moment including my daughter's wedding preparations) but we're giving it a go.
Hugs

Wish I could commit to doing this as I just loved the ones I saw last year. Look forward to seeing how you progress with it and good luck with the embroidery.
Yay! It's good to see that you are blogging again. Missed you for a while there ....
Love your January pages - the blue is gorgeous. I didn't spot your deliberate mistake actually. I once put 31 days in a month that only has 30. Wrote on it too before i realised. Doh!! Kate x
