Well, you know from the title, it's likely to be slightly wacky! Sue was teaching at The Stamp Attic this weekend and Pen and I managed to book a place. The class was called "Down my Street" (or it might have been "up my street" LOL) and you can see why! We had a wonderful time in the new workshop mucking about with ink and stamps and ripping up old books and the day went in a flash. I think my favourite part of this is the birdy's headdress. He's definitely a character that bird! I'm not quite sure I've finished the front yet....
.... and I definitely haven't finished the back but I wanted you to see the "garden fence" made out of BBQ skewers and wire. I definitely learnt a few new tips and tricks.
It was also good to have a chance to play with all the quirky stamps that Wendy has on offer. Thanks Sue and Wendy for a brilliant day out!

Looks like you had a good day, love the art work, the bird is fab, the more I see those stamps the more I like them!
wow...would have loved to have gone on to that class - the work youve created looks amazing!
This looks fab, and the fence looks brill. Glad you had a great day and Sue is super too !!
That workshop would have been right up my street too, and I love what you have done Carol - great fence. Luckily I have Sue Roddis's book and when I have done all the things on my list I'll treat myself to a quite hour or two with it. There is something about house designs isn't there? Maureen from Maureen's Mixture went on that workshop too.
Love this Carol. Glad you and Pen enjoyed your day out.
You cannot help but smile at this. Very Kooky! What fun to have a day at such a workshop. I am trying to take in all the detail. Lynne M
Great street Carol. I like your fence very much. Pulls the whole collection together beautifully.
can't claim to be the originator of the fence Jo - that was one of Sue's ideas!

Fabulous inkyness Carol! Love the images you used! I did a workshop with Sue in August, she's a very talented and 'inventive' lady! xx
Great to see them close up Carol. I didn't really get to see them on the day. I just LOVE those Stampotique stamps and managed to treat myself to just one! LOVE the birdie too... he's so quirky! He might be another one on my list, although I dont usually do 'cute'!
Lovely day, wasn't it

Beautiful layering! The fence is super, and the whole piece is very inspired.
Wow, I love it! I am taking a digital course but I can't give up my textures, inks and stuff if you know what I mean. Happy New Year Carol!

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I love these little houses you make, they are so cute! I don't think I will ever get sick of little &/or mini houses. You definitely have a knack for doing them up so very well. I love the detail in all your artwork.
