Jo's birthday - shades of mauve

I often mess about with my craft things with no particular aim in mind and end up with lots of odds and ends. While having a sort out the other day I found this Stampsmith picture (Maude) that I'd tried stamping with Brilliance Pearlescent Crimson but never used as well as a piece of aluminium I'd embossed and then coloured with eggplant alcohol ink. After some rummaging through the old paper stash, I found a piece of Diane's Daughters Rustic Gems Amethyst range (still available) and some lace which I sprayed with Adirondack eggplant colourwash. Added some grungeboard wings and hinges (coloured in eggplant and smeared with silver wax) some dew drops and a couple of flowers layered together - hey presto one birthday card for Jo!

This close up was actually taken by Jo and is much more accurate colourwise than my garden one.

That's a card and a half - I love it. Lucky Jo. I love the Grungebord hinges, it's great stuff and I've sent off for the alphabet pack. I'm hoping it'll come this week.
