Beeswax ATCs

Over on the PA Blog, France created some ATCs using beeswax which produced a very interesting result. You can see the technique and finished ATCs here.  It's not easy stamping on beeswax but luckily, I had some Stazon cleaner so was able to take my rubbish stamping efforts off and start again without too much of a problem! France has also produced a much more even distribution of the beeswax - perhaps because she added encaustic medium mixed to the wax which I don't have. If you like to try different techniques, this is definitely worth a go.

Love how the images look as though they're floating over the wax, Carol. I'll have to give this a go - once I've made a bit of an effort to tidy up...

they are gorgeous Carol! I'll have to check out the PA blog now.
I always use the heat tool to even out my beeswax but I guess not if you're stamping on it...
fab results you got anyway, they're both great!

I haven't come across this technique before but love the effect you achieved with these ATCs.

~Well, I think these are wonderful Carol. I also think your stamping onto the beeswax is great and I love the images you chose. I'm considering having a go at this later but doubt very much my wax will be even or my stamping anywhere near as good as yours.

Beautifully done, Carol. I have only ever used wax once & it was on an ATC but it was normal candle wax brushed on thinly with a tiny paintbrush. I believe it is no where near as gorgeous smelling as beeswax!

They are absolutely gorgeous! Especially the one with the drops, love that! I just bought some beeswax pellets today and definitely have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing. Suzanne

Now I'm glad you found it hard to stamp onto to, I thought it was just me, unfortunately I didn't have the fore thought to use some stazon cleaner though - lol

Fab technique isn't it, with great results and great idea to incorporate a PA postcard.

They look great Carol - Sam xx

They are SO cool, Carol... I just love the patina of the wax, and the stamping looks great. Time to get drippy with some nightlights, I think!
