A productive day

I've been lucky enough to be able to spend most of the day crafting in between the odd chore so I've finished by March 365 Calendar Challenge pages
My April pages are all things Dyan Reaveley.  The background was created using a ghosting technique by Dyan here apparently discovered when she was "pratting" around lol.
I've also used my latest and first stamps from the Dylusions range and the Dylusions spray inks.  They are fabulous colours and cover card really well. You can tell I've become hooked! I love the colours of these pages.
and finally.... I finished another book wrap today.  It's strips of sari fabric which you can buy in a skein.  I've ironed them out and stitched them together with metallic thread and added some beads and hand stitching.

I thought I'd come up with an original idea but I must have absorbed it from Heather's blog without even realising until I was looking at her lovely stitching projects again recently.  Thanks Heather!

Ooooh simply love your March pages but then I think that's something to do with them being green!! Great ghosting for April too.

Your fabrics creation is stunning. Have great admiration for people who hand sew, me, I'm just far too impatient!!!!

Your Calendar pages are so lovely Carol - I love the colours you are working with. I haven't heard of those inks but they are beautiful. The book wrap is gorgeous and I got the idea of ironing the sari ribbon and stitching onto it from Dale Rollerson. I'm sure it's possible for more than one person to come up with the same idea without realising it.

OOh, I hope we don't get too many April showers! I thought of chocolate for my theme, (yum!) Easter! Love the rain effect and the vivid colours. Trying to look for clues in the pic of your desk to see how you did the ghosting! ;-)

Love the book wrap Carol. I bought a gorgeous skein of the sari silk from Ally Pally last Saturday. This is a lovely wayn to use them.

Your calendar pages are looking great too. I bought several of Dyan's Dylusions Sprays from the Harrogate show a few weeks ago. I loved the soft chalky effect finish of them and the colours are fab. They look beautiful on your April pages.

Hugs
Lesley Xx
