My mum's 80th

Can't believe my mum's 80 in a week's time.  This card was inspired by Sarita who's blog is a must see.  She has a tutorial on her blog for the lotus flower which I've made for this card.  Be warned - you have to be in patient mood to do this.

It's a dull day here so I did a flash photo of the flower for a more accurate representation of the colour.

I can well imagine the patience required to produce this flower but well worth it. Please pass on my Birthday Wishes to your Mum when she turns 80. Lynne M x

This is so elegant Carol. The simplicity of the white background and then the beautiful lotus flower is quite stunning. Happy Birthday to your mum.... she's sure to love it.

I love this card. I tried the rolled flowers that are so popular right now for my Mother's Day cards this year. Now I want to try to this one as well. Beautiful and so refined!!!
