Something different

I spent Saturday at my local embroiderers guild (and most of yesterday) putting this bag together. Quite a change for me to cut out something like this from scratch. I found it really challenging trying to cut out the pieces accurately just using a cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler. Anyway, the result's good and I've got a really useful bag. Anyone who's interested the pattern can be bought here. The colours are slightly too bright and it's really a more mellow, autumnal colour than this.

That is one handsome bag Carol - and it looks very well made. It's practical as well as lovely to look at. I've never mastered cutting with a rotary cutter and am hopeless at being accurate.

Looks great and useful too :) Is it a lovely rust and butterscotch type combo? Looks like it - great choice of colours, whatever. Did you make it by hand or by machine? Too many questions, lol?
