.. another birthday card!

It was Galina's birthday recently. This card's on plasma and I had a go with the sewing machine too. Definitely need to do a bit more of that. The stamp is Lazar Studiowerx. Joanne - thanks for the lace(!)

I also made an alternative VERY bright version. The sun was shining directly on it when I took the photo. It's verging on lary. Thought you'd like to see the matching crocuses (crocii?)
Thanks to Pen for the idea with the metal shim round the flower.

It's all in the detail and you do that so well :o)

Lovely cards and thanks for visiting my blog. I feel about paper arts the way you do about textiles. It's all a question of gaining confidence with something new and unfamiliar. I am enjoying trying to bring the two skills together in one piece of work.

And I am the lucky owner of the first card.It has such a happy feeling about it, very cheerful!
Many thanks, Carol!

You have such a strong style Carol. What a totally different feel to two similar designs. Just shows what colour can do. My fave is the first one- wonderfully fresh.

These are both gorgeous Carol! I love to know what you used for the background of the bright one, was it alcohol ink & gold mixative?

Hi Alison the sprays are from Crafty Notions, probably a mix of buttercup, marigold and poppy topped of with Shake n spray gold. I've got quite a few of their sprays and would recommend them for making fab backgrounds.
